  • Abstract
The birth of the first baby created by in vitro fertilization in 1978, knowledge of new techniques for infertility treatments was raised. Using these techniques brought hope to those couples who thought would never have children. Oocyte, sperm and embryo donation is one of these techniques that has become known as “surrogate fertility” and is one of successful methods for infertility treatments. “Principles of surrogate fertility” and its conditions are mentioned in laws and related rule books; however what are important is assurance of donors and recipients health, and its com-patibility of appearance, blood, cultural social and religious features of them. The first step is cou-ples knowledge of the of receiving the embryo so the concerns related to this procedure, possible dangers, success chance, its costs, consequent religious and legal issues, donor and receiver’s identity confidentiality from each other and the embryo’s health can be assessed. These new tech-niques have complicated legal and ethical issues with treatment concepts that must be considered carefully based on every country’s cultural, social and faith situation.
