Annihilation of a proton and an antiproton to a quark–antiquark pair accompanied by emission of two additional gluon jets with an intermediate state of a vector meson is considered. Strong azimuthal correlation is revealed of two gluonic jets, effectively created in the same plane. Similar phenomena occur in peripheral proton(antiproton)–proton collisions
