A probabilistic proof of the Andrews–Gordon identities

Recently, Fulman proved the “extreme” cases of the Andrews–Gordon identities using a Markov chain on the non-negative integers. Here we extend Fulmanʹs methods to prove the Andrews–Gordon identities in full generality.
