A characterization of the split Cayley generalized hexagon image using one subhexagon of order image Original Research Article

In this paper, we prove that, if a generalized hexagon image of order q contains a subhexagon image (of order image) isomorphic to the incidence graph of the Desarguesian plane image, and if the automorphism group of image stabilizing image induces all elations in image, then image must be isomorphic to the split Cayley hexagon image.
