  • Abstract
    The number of solutions of a nonlinear system of equations over the Galois field F=GF(2m) is expressed in terms of Kloosterman sums over the Galois field F. Using some natural symmetry properties of the solutions to this system, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for a new identity for Kloosterman sums over F.
