Abstract :
The object of this paper is to review the general problem of using degree conditions to determine the structure of 2-factors in graphs. We shall discuss open problems and developments in this area and to a very limited extent, provide examples of the proof techniques used. We shall also consider some of the corresponding questions and development for digraphs. This is not intended as a complete survey, but rather an overview, indicating some new directions and open problems.
