Abstract :
Zwitterionic derivatives of β-cyclodextrin were obtained by acylation of 61-amino-61-deoxycyclomaltoheptaose with commercially available partially protected derivatives of aspartic and glutamic acids followed by removal of the protective groups. These products exhibited high solubility in water and were used to form soluble inclusion complexes of 5-fluorouracil.
