Abstract :
Novel bola-amphiphilic compounds have been synthesized with d-galactose or lactose as polar head groups. The sugar groups are attached to the six-, ten- or twelve-polymethylene bridging chain by a carbamate function. Vesicles are obtained for some of these derivatives.
