Abstract :
In this paper, an integrated MPEG2 system time clock (STC) unit able to recover and track time base of up to four MPEG2 transport streams is presented. Described architecture allows generation of time base for multi context MPEG video/audio decoder system. The proposed circuit and its software algorithm of a digital control system for 27 MHz clock recovery is shown to have a good performance, low silicon cost, and low computational complexity.
