Abstract
The adsorption of CO on clean ZnO 1010.and on Cu deposited ZnO 1010.surfaces at room temperature and at 200 K
was studied by Auger electron spectroscopy, low-energy electron diffraction and high-resolution electron energy-loss
spectroscopy HREELS.. Cu deposited on an oxygen-depleted ZnO surface favors formation of OH and CHx groups during
CO exposure due to adsorption of residual hydrogen. Observed losses of OH and CH may perhaps act as possible x
precursors or intermediates on the CurZnO catalyst surface. With precooled CurZnO 1010.exposed to 100 Pa CO, a
top-positioned CO vibrational feature was found by HREELS
