Abstract :
Ablation of frozen acetone targets by synchrotron radiation produced a variety of deposits in the forms of films or particles round, glass pieces, needle or flat plate.. From one of the deposits we observed a sharp Raman peak at 1333 cmy1, indicating the formation of diamond. However, this result could not be reproduced. Sharp Raman peaks were also observed near 500 cmy1 from the deposits shaped like glass piece. q1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
