Self-assemblies of silver sulfide nanocrystals: influence of length of thio-alkyl chains used as coating agent

We report on the influence of the length of thiol alkyl chains used to coat silver sulfide particles on the self-organization of nanoparticles in monolayers. The variation of the average distance between particles with the length of the thio derivatives alkyl chain is derived from direct measurements of TEM patterns. q2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
