  • Abstract
    This paper describes the development of the voltage-source equivalent circuit. A subsequent paper concerns the current-source equivalent and summarizes the story. The formal roots of equivalent circuits are Ohmʹs Law, Kirchoffʹs Laws, and the Principle of Superposition.
