ه :The aim of the present study was to evaluate the physicochemical properties and their relation to chlorophyll in coastal waters of Hormozgan Province.Water samples were collected at 14 stations during the 12 months in 2012 for measurement of physical and chemical properties of water quality was performed.Various multivariate statistical techniques, were applied to analyze coastel water quality data.The range for water temperature beetween 19.20-36.26Co,Electrical conductivity,49.88-69.63 ms.cm, Salinity, 36.42-39.03 ppt, Dissolved Oxygen,4.11-7.74 mg.l , pH, 7.67-8.83, Turbidity, 0.15-26.21 Ftu,Total suspended solids,10.2-212.5 mg.l,Nitrate,2.19-390 m.l,Nitrite,0.19-31.36 mg.l,Total Ammonia,1.29-500 mg.l , phosphate, 9.65-120.35 mg.l Silicate , 3.98-529 mg.l,Dissolved inorganic nitrogen 23.86-905 mg.l and chlorophyll-a is equal to 0.01-4.98 mg.m3 respectively.The Results of cluster analysis grouped the 12 months into two periods (the first and second periods) and classified the 14 station into three groups (First, second and third group.Generally, the levels of nutrients in coastal waters of Bandar Abbas is much more than other regions. Also the Hierarchical cluster analysis grouped 14 sampling sites into three clusters i.e., relatively highly polluted (goorsozan), medium polluted (sooro,pshte- shahr,shilat port,parke dolat,Langargah,hormoz and beetwen ghashm and hormoz) and less polluted (other station). Eutrophication index in Goorsoozan ,Souroo, Posht-e -Shahr and Eskele Shilat were in high eutroph or mesotroph stste, in stations 6 , 7 and 8were in mesotroph state and other stations(Jask and Lengeh) were in oligotroph state. Ranking results showed water quality index in stations 2 , 3 and 7 was good,in stations 5, 6 and 8 was fairy good and in other stations was bad. The result showed MLR(multiple linear regression and Principal component) that water temperature , Dissolved Oxygen, Turbidity, Total suspended solids ,Nitrate, Total Ammonia, phosphate, Silicate and Dissolved inorganic nitrogen , the most of important parameters Influence on chlorophyll-a were identified.The results of showed that N can some time and in some stations as a factor limiting phytoplankton growth in Bandare abbas coastal waters.
