Stroke is a common and serious disease, with over a half million new cases per year and 150,000 deaths annually in US.
In recent years, the nihilism toward the care of stroke patients has been replaced by a remarkable understanding of the underlying stroke mechanism leading to significant improvement in its management. The aim of this article is to introduce stroke units and at the end, recommendations for stroke unit establishment in Isfahan, the second greatest city of Iran.
