چكيده لاتين :
T he aim of this paper is to pres ent the
case of a 15.5 year old gi rl with primary
hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) with
symptoms of bone pain that ap peard 23
years prior to admission; she ha d suffered bone
frac tu re six months earlier and had high serum
calcium, very high serum PTH and low serum
phosphorous levels, all res ults being in agreement
with PHPT.
The di agnosi s was confirmed by imag in g studies
with 99m TC-Sestamibi scan, showi ng an adenoma
in parathyroid tissue. The adenoma was
removed by surgical operation. After sur gery the
patient was treated by high do ses of calcium and
vitamin D to avoid postoperative hypocalcemia.
