The Napag mud volcano, a cone-shaped hill in the coastal plain ofOman sea and lying west to the port of Chabahar and to the right of "Kahir-Tang road", is one of the most attractive geomorphological phenomena in Sistan and Baluchestan province. It is famous for being the most prominent mud volcano in Iran whose height amounts to 36
meters above the sea level. Because of methane (CH4) gas eruption and the formation of huge bubbles, it seems to be a unique one amongst other mud volcanoes in Iran. The eruption of mud from this volcano usually occurs smoothly, but the outpourings occasionally become severe with eruption ofviscous mud in great quantity.
