The work done in language sciences and cognitive psychology was emphasized on the knowledge of thereader in understanding the texts. In this article, we will focus on the understanding of the Algerian legal textsconsidered as univocal. We will try to show the part of the reader s knowledge in the construction of the meaningof these texts that are particular not only by their linguistic, discursive and linguistic specificities but also bytheir cultural and ethics aspect.
