Praise be to Allah and prayers and peace upon his messenger Mohammed and his household. Allah said in his Holy book: Your God said to the Angels; I shall appoint a successor in earth, they answered, you will appoint who will ruin it and shed blood and we glorify you, he said I know more than you do this verse and others talk about the succession of earth and Adam, the successor in earth. Al-Mighty Allah announced through this verse the hypothesis of creating a community when he told the angels his decision of creating a community on earth. The verse determined the elements of that community; Allah (the one appoints a successor), Man (the successor) and the earth (the thing to be successes). The relation that relates those elements is the succession. The term successor came with its evidences in many verses indicating the meaning of succession. Some of the evidences are mentioned by Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h) in his interpretational narrations. Therefore, the research is intended to tackle this point following the mentioned –below plan: The first section: the concept of succession and the Quranic use. The second section: the reasons behind the choice of Al-Mighty Allah the Man as a successor and the truth of making the angels genuflect to Adam The research reached several results, of which are: In spite of assignations of Imams (Ahlul Bait) (p.b.u.t) of which the political assassination and intellectual destruction which led to decreasing the evidences that reached use from them especially those of Al-Zahraa and her sons, Al-Hasan an‎d Al-Hussein(p.b.u.t), but the researcher was able to find not more than five or six narrations talking about the theory of succession in an objective method. This justifies the choice of this topic to be discussed in this study. May Allah help us.
