Study of Man in Jamalzadeh’s “Once Upon a Time” based on Maslow’s Humanist Theory

The Persian short story, as representing parts of human life with every aspect, begins with “Once Upon a Time” Jamalzadeh. With a realistic setting, this story illustrates the socio-political status of Iran in the early years after the constitution. In order to find the position of man in the story, the present research tries to analyze main and the main and secondary characters of the story based on Maslow s humanistic perspective. Since the social disadvantages of those days have deprived ““Once Upon a Time” to gain a actualization opportunity, the people of these stories have rarely reached the fourth order of the pyramid.
