Universities in the modern era play a great role in the lives of nations and peoples, given the diverse and comprehensive development roles entrusted to them that depart from the traditional frameworks associated with education and teaching only, as the university’s mission has become linked to all aspects of life, with the aim of achieving prosperity and comprehensive development for societies and this through what it reveals facts, and their contribution to solutions to current and future problems. The presentation of the various experiences of Western universities indicates that universities have a great role in building the foundations of the renaissance of their societies. This renaissance, which cannot be embodied in the Arab countries, unless the university is one of the most important executive tools to achieve this human demand.
