Algerian cities have suffered since ancient times from the growing phenomenon of underdeveloped urban areas that, over the past decades, affected the Algerian situation, as a result of successive historical, social, economic and political conditions that had great damage to social construction, disruption of development plans, and disruption in the urban field. Which led to the failure to achieve the desired goals in this field. Within this preoccupation with knowledge, this scientific contribution focused mainly on the urban development path in Algeria to know some of the facts that accompanied this phenomenon and impeded it from improving the life of Algerian society.
