Most of the researchers unanimously agreed that the emergence of esoteric interpretation coincided with the emergence of esoteric movements, but the difference lies in the reasons for the emergence of these sects, their origins and the sources adopted in interpretation. This type of interpretation developed into an intellectual phenomenon that prevailed among the Shiite and Sufi sects until its features were drawn in the Encyclopedia of the Brethren of Purity of a philosophical, mystical, and Shiite esoteric nature. Through this research, we try to search for the reasons for the emergence of esoteric interpretation and reveal its sources, relying on the writings of the Brethren of Purity, whose identity is still under discussion among researchers.
