چكيده عربي :
The term pun is a common literary device that can be defined as a play on words (Gray, 1984: 168). This definition is to be understood as using words in an amusing and tricky manner, make a pun. The words just mentioned above, amusing and tricky, could have the meanings of humor and ambiguity. This can be supported by considering pun as a focus on the alternative meanings or applications of a word or phrase for the purpose of making riddles, which has much to do with ambiguity, or/and a play upon different words that sound alike for the purpose of making auditory jokes, which has much to do with humor (Crystal, 204:408)
