چكيده عربي :
The present study deals with a foreign language learning motivation Iraq.EFL Iraqi students. were. measured on the variables of intrinsic, extrinsic, and amotivation as well as integrative and instrumental motivation. The subjects were(100) students enrolled in the departments of English/ college of education Ibn - Rushd and college of Education for women /Baghdad university. The Academic Motivation, Scale by Vellerand et al (1992) and the Attitudes Motivation Test Battery by Gardner (1985) were adopted in this study.Descriptive statistics included statistical tables; means of score (MS); and standard deviations, standard Error (SD, and SE); (95%) confidence interval (C.I) for population Mean values; two extreme values (min and max) respondents; graphical presentation by using-Bar-charts. Inferential analysis were also used such as Levene test for testingequality of variances; and analysis of variance (ANOVA) for testing equality. Results showed that EFL Iraqi students have positive attitudes towards learning English, high levels of intrinsic motivation-to know, high levels of extrinsic motivation-introjected, low levels of Amotivation.
