The phenomenon of unemployment is one of the manifestations of this era that various countries are suffering from, whether developed or underdeveloped. Our study aimed to find out the difference between the unemployed in the control center, both internal and external, which is a personality trait in the individual, and the learned helplessness that results from repeated failure in the life of the individual. Accordingly, we conducted a comparative study between males and females who are experiencing unemployment. For this purpose, we used a questionnaire for the personal characteristics of the unemployed of both sexes, referring to age, gender, educational level, duration of unemployment, number of work times, and desire to go abroad. We also used the measure of control center (LOC) and the attribution pattern questionnaire (ASQ). The results that we reached were that there was no difference between the unemployed of both sexes with internal and external control in the acquired helplessness.
