اخطاء القراءة والاملاء في اللغة العربية لدى عينة من التلاميذ باقسام السنة الرابعة ابتدائي

The study aims to describe and analyze errors in reading and spelling in the Arabic language among a sample of fourth year primary students. The sample included 33 male and female students, 13 of whom showed weakness in reading and dictation, and 19 of them were of average or above average performance (normal). To collect the data, two reading and spelling tests were used that were specially prepared for this study. Using the descriptive approach and after statistical analysis, we reached results that lead to the presence of errors in reading and spelling of the type: omission, substitution, addition, repetition, reversal, confusion, and errors related to the specificity of the Arabic language. There is also a correlation between reading speed and the number of errors (r = 0.85). There is a statistically significant difference between those with difficulties in the Arabic language and the ordinary in the number of errors in the reading and dictation activity, as well as in the reading time.
