ابعاد الازدواج اللغويّ في تعليم العربية للناطقين بغيرها: دراسة تحليلية احصائيّة

This research aims to study the impact of linguistic diglossia on teaching arabic to speakers of other languages. Despite being a normal linguistic phenomenon in all human societies, it casts its shadow on teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. This research aims at studying the relationship of diglossia to the production objectives of the learners, curricula, the community of the target language, and the teacher of the second language. The study has also presented in light of Statistical and descriptive approach an extrapolation to the attitude of learners of Arabic of speakers of other languages in the Language Center at the University of Jordan towards the Jordanian colloquial, where it has detected positive attitudes towards learning the vernacular as well as the eloquent (standard) level. In the light of the findings, the study presented a proposal based on the investment of the joint intersections between the vernacular and eloquent styles of the language; to bridge the gap between the two levels. We have also presented a model of linguistic patterns where shades of diglossia appeared in the writing of composition by learners of Arabic of speakers of other languages
