This study tried to explore the presence of deconstruction in readings of old Arabic literature by examining Kilito’s readings of Arabic writings in a collection of works where he studied old Arabic texts. The study also explored the procedural concepts that belong to the deconstruction theory and philosophy present in Kilito’s readings. This research aimed at bringing light to Kilito’s method of reading old Arabic texts, and its benefit in enriching the meanings of those texts. The researcher also studied the concepts of deconstruction in the west to illustrate its main characteristics and anchors. The researcher, as well, pointed at the Arab critics 'reception of deconstruction, and what Kilito presented in this area. The study showed that Kilito’s readings tacitly demonstrated the main concepts of deconstruction in writing, such as, difference/ Deference, Supplement, trace, and writing without indicating that he adopted deconstruction and its method in reading.
