The issue of border protection and control is a very sensitive and vital matter for the national and regional security of the Algerian state, given the complexity of pockets of threats and risks (international cross-border terrorism, problems of immigration, illegal refugees, drugs, arms smuggling and organized crime...) in addition to the increasing fragility and failure of neighboring countries and the dependencies Insecurity in Libya and Mali in particular. All of this is a complex of the methods and measures followed in addressing the issue of Algerian border security according to the adoption of integrated solutions or exits with the aim of monitoring, controlling and protecting the various border fronts internally and regionally and working internationally to mitigate and control these intractable problems. This study attempts to investigate Algerian and international solutions and efforts in order to increase border control and security, by showing the various methods of protection and the main traditional and modern resources, according to an assessment scale distributed at a local level by showing Algerian efforts in normal and exceptional circumstances, and at a regional level. Border security is one of the most important issues in the international arena. Because it is mainly due to the intertwining and interaction of many factors and sources, internal and external, regional and international, raising the issue of borders and their security in Algeria is enough to open discussion in many issues related to the search for threats surrounding the security of Algeria’s borders in its geopolitical scope, and how to confront them?
