Water is considered as the most important environmental resources, it is the cornerstone of life, Allah says, We made every living thing of water Alanbya 30. The issue of pollution, suffering from degradation and depletion as well as misuse of water has become one of the important issues in our contemporary world. So, this research consists of two serious problems threatening this environmental and biological source. However, these problems are pollution and depletion of water. This study deals with the importance of water as an environmental part and this study also demonstrated the dangers of pollution and depletion, such as desertification, eradicating of plant, animal, marine wealth, and ecological unbalance. So the study concluded with the sharia prohibition of water pollution and depletion. The study have showed that multiple forms of waste like garbage, waste water, nuclear contaminants and excessive use of water are the most important causes of water pollution and depletion. The researcher also presented the most important rules, principles approaches,ways and Sharia procedures as the bases for preservation of water resources like forbidding of extravagance, and preventing that which leads to contamination of water, as well as preventing monopoly of water resources, and encouraging the drilling of wells, in addition to the rules of jurisprudence as the rules do no harm and precautionary procedures are better than bringing benefits as well as the rules of private ownership restrictions if this act caused damage to others and the role of Sharia policy in making decisions by governor to maintain that important resource.
