المختصر في علوم الحديث لابن النفيس (عرض وتوجيه)

This research looks into the writings of the Muslim scientist and doctor known as Ibn Al Nafis in the field of Mustalah Al –Hadeeth. This field is highly specialized and cannot be achieved easily that is why it is an indication that Ibn Al-Nafis had a wide range of knowledge and interest in Sharia'a sciences, especially since he has writings in several other Sharia'a topics like Fiqeh and Sirah Nabawiya. He was also very proud of his school which is the Sunni Shafi'y that was pervailant in many of his writings. Perhaps Ibn Al-Nafis's appreciation and sence of responsibility for sharia'a and the related sciences like Mustalah Al-Hadeeth is his motivation behind writing this book. What was apparent is that Ibn Al-Nafis wrote the book using only his knowledge and memory and didn't refer to any other texts. His attention to the logical flow of the argument was obvious and his sentences were very precise and steered clear of examples that Hadith scientists normally use for clarification. He also rarely used Mustalah in writing especially in the field of Jarh and Ta'adil, instead he was using the rules and guidelines as governing factors of this science without any unnecessary additons.
