اَثَرُ المَبَاحِثِ الاُصُوليَّةِ في مَبَاحِثِ اُصُولِ النَّحْوِ العَرَبِيِّ

Fundamentalists (specialists of Islamic Jurisprudence) had established their curricula and had classified their areas of study before grammarians did. Thus, the current study aims at showing the impact the fundamentalists’ methodology have had on Arabic grammar. Fundamentalists have been excellent in Arabic and its sub topics and they have tried to serve it in terms of methodology, classification, and terminology. The present study includes four chapters that reveal the relationship between Arabic grammar and other sciences like Jurisprudence, Hadith (tradition of Prophet Mohammed), and logic. In addition to showing how the principles of Arabic grammar are affected by the methodology of fundamentalists, the current study surveys some aspects of these effects and discusses them from a scientific conscious point of view. The study concluded a group of results. The most important are as follows: among the most important reasons for these effects is the overlapping between the science of Islamic religion and Arabic grammar. Aspects of these effects include extreme care about texts and controlling them, the issue of the origin and the branch, classifying the grammatical rules, choosing one piece of evidence over other conflicting ones, formulating grammatical problems the same way religious problems are formulated: hearing, measuring, and consensus. This is because fundamentalists excelled in their style and their ability in finding out solutions, their precision in formulating their terminology. All this gave the strength to affect the origins of Arabic grammar.
