From Ibn Ashour's repercussions on Al-Zamakhshari in the interpretation of Surat Al-Baqarah between verse 161-214 - collection, balance and criticism -

At-Tahir ibn Ashur has written a huge tafsir (interpretation of the Holy Quran) in which he objected the viewpoints of some preceding interpreters such as Zamakhshari. In his quest, the researcher has tracked Ibn Ashur’s oppositions and objections to Zamakhshari throughout the interpretation of Surat al-Baqarah, studied the viewpoints in question in the related heritage books to be able to judge between the two viewpoints and conclude the most correct one. Researcher has followed the scientific method in discussing the viewpoints without harshness or infringement. The goal of the researcher was to discuss the opinions without paying attention to the interpreters’ personalities Allah mercy upon all of them. Researcher concluded that ibn Ashur’s views were right sometimes but in other questions Zamakhshari was correct.
