The endowment and its impact on achieving social security

Waqf is one of the most important acts of worship by which a person draws closer to God Almighty. Because it benefits the detainees, relieves their distress, and pays their needs in a permanent institutional way, not in an instantaneous manner, and the endowment has a great role in maintaining social security and filling the needs of a wide range of social groups, which prevents its deviation or its violation of the law or the creation of social cracks in society, and it has an important role in social solidarity and even in economic development. The endowment institution today no longer has the same impact and role that it used to play in the past, and it is necessary to search for ways to activate it and revive its role. Therefore, the researchers in this research defined the endowment and its legitimacy, and then explained the great role of the endowment in achieving social security in all its fields in terms of: Social and health care, scientific and economic renaissance, defending the nation, calling to God, and preserving the internal security of the community. In the third topic, we also presented some suggestions that could contribute to activating the endowment today and returning it to its previous era.
