The effect of the reasons for revelation in understanding the verses of rulings according to Al-Mawardi through his book: (Al-Hawi Al-Kabir)

This study deals with the impact of the reasons for revelation in understanding the verses of rulings according to Al-Mawardi through his book: (Al-Hawi Al-Kabir); This is to highlight the method he took in mentioning the reasons for revelation, and to show the effect of those reasons in clarifying the explanatory meanings and legal rulings according to him. It was found through this study that al-Mawardi mentioned the reasons for revelation in his book al-Hawi, but he does not mention their sources, and the rulings on them in terms of validity, and his benefit from them in clarifying the meanings, and deducing jurisprudential rulings, and his reliance on them in the weighting between the sayings, and his consideration of the generality of the word, not the specific reason.
