This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using the interactive bookmark for developing the second intermediate students independent learning skills and achievement in the English subject. The sample of this study consists of the second intermediate students / Toah intermediate schools for girls in kut during the academic year 2015-2016.Suitable experimental and descriptive design have been chosen to achieve the aims of the study consist of two groups (experimental and control).A suitable questionnaire has been chosen as a data collection tool consists of (25) items, which aims to find out the effectiveness of using the interactive bookmark for developing the learners independent learning skills in English subject. In addition to use a suitable achievement test which aims at finding out the effectiveness of using the interactive bookmark for developing the learners achievement in English subject.Suitable statistical means have been applied to the results of the present study to test the hypothesis of the study. These results ensured the effectiveness of using the interactive bookmark in developing the second intermediate school students independent learning skills and achievement, since that the mean score of the control group is less than the mean sore of the experimental group in the post test. Therefore, the results of the present study encourage using the interactive bookmark in EFL classrooms.
