The physical properties of polymers may be affected by doping, the certain structural, optical, mechanical, electrical and magnetic properties of the selected polymer can be controllably modified owing to the type of the doping, concentration, and the way in which it penetrates and interacts with the chains of the polymer. Detailed studies of doped polymer with different dopant concentrations allow the possibility of choice of the desired properties[1].Composites of conjugated polymers are becoming increasingly used in organic electronics devices, owing to the electronic and optical properties of the polymers, which are similar to those of semiconductors. However the mechanical properties and processibility of polymers makes them more attractive than crystalline inorganic semiconductors for future applications: their low weight, flexibility and inexpensive preparation procedures are drawing the attention of many researchers[2]. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a polymer with several interesting physical properties, which are very useful in technical applications. PVA, as semicrystalline material, exhibits certain physical properties resulting from the crystal-amorphous interfacial effect[3]. The present work deals with the effect of calcium oxide on the dielectric properties of poly-vinyl alcohol.
