تعيين وتقييم بعض العناصر النزرة في النفط الخام والنماذج الصخرية لمنطقة شرق بغداد

This work is an attempt to utilize what is known the leakage of hydrocarbons reservoir and metals associated with them from depth to the surface so as to asses the possibility of using such a phenomenon as approximate indicator for petroleum deposits. A productive oil well near Baghdad was chosen as a study case. The trace amounts of Fe, Cu, Cr and Mn in the organic extract were determined using electrothermal atomization-atomic absorption spectroscopy with atomized conditions. The relative standard deviation (RSD%) and recovery were in the range (2.16-4.2 %), (90-110 %) respectively. Only the analysis of Fe concentration and showed that concentration increase rvith depth. The concentration of Fe at 1356 meters depth was 0.3 ppm w hile it has a value of 6.3 ppm at240A meters. The experimental results ot this research indi cate that anall sis of metals is the organic extracted of rock samples can be used to predict the approximated distance of petroleum accumulation with a reasonable level of confidence
