    Sn02 thin films have been prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis technique. The absorption and transmission spectra has been checked for the deposited films before and after irradiation by Gamma-rays in order to determine the influence of the absorbed dose on the absorptance, absorption coefficient and the forbidden energy gap in all kinds of transitions. It has been shown that y -rays affected these parameters by decreasing the absorptance, the absorption coefficient and increased the value of the energy gap for all kinds of transitions
