The Dielectric Properties of Polyvinylchloride- Nickel Composites

In this paper the effect of filler content on dielectric Properties of polyvinylchloride filled with nickel powders has been investigated .The resistivity of such composites decreases suddenly by several orders of magnitude at a critical volume concentration ф c . The values of the real and the imaginary parts of the complex dielectric constant increase with increasing filler concentration .From study of AC conductivity versus frequency for PVC-Ni composites in the insulating region show that the conduction is of a hopping type.
