The effects of Y - radiation on the transmission and reflectance spectra were investigated.The effects of the 60Co gamma radiation on the following properties of iron oxide thin films have been determined . These were real parts of dielectric constant (e1) , imaginary dielectric constant (e2), refractive index (n) and extinction coefficient. It was found that all these parameters were affected by Y - rays. keywords: thin films, Fe2O3, spray pyrolysis, optical constants
