Estimation of Cosmic Ray Composition Around the Knee From Cherenhov Radiation Approximation at the Yakutsk Array

The simulation of the Cherenkov light lateral distribution function (LDF) in Extensive Air Showers (EAS) was performed with the CORSIKA code at the energies lPeV, 2PeV and 5PeVfor configuration of the Yakutsk EAS array. The comparison of the calculated Cherenkov light LDFs with that measured with the Yakutsk array has shown an opportunity of primary particleidentification and definition of its energy around the knee.
