Radio Waves Propagation Models Simulation

Three different propagation models Free space , line of sight ( LOS ) and two - ray propagation are simulated in this research. It is noticed that, as the distance increases, the signal becomes weaker in the urban environment. The reflected and diffracted waves on the building surfaces result in a significant degradation of the performance of the communication network. It is also noticed that for the same amount of transmitted power, the maximum separation distance in the urban environment is much lower as compared to the free space environment because the urban environment has interesting effects on wave propagation.
