Synthesis and Identification of Some Transition metal complexes with P- amino acetopheneden thio Semicarbazone

The present work includes preparation and characterization of a number of new complexes of the li gand p- amino acetopheneden thio semic:irbazon (L) whi ch is synthes ized by the reaction of Parni no acetophenon ·vith thio semicarbzide in an eth ~rn o lic so lution. Metal complexes have been synthesized from the reaction of the ligand (L) with metal sa lts CrCl3.61-120,M11Cl 2 41-i20,FeC1 3,MoC1 5.and WCl6 . These complexes were indentified by elemental ana lys is , Infrared (IR) spectroscopy (UV- Vi sible)spectroscopy , atomic abso rption , magnetic moments and mol ar cond uctance measurements . It was concluded frcrn the elemental analys is that all the complexes have (2 : I) ( Ligand : metal ) molar ratio acco rding to the preceding measurements . Octahedral structu res are suggested for the prepared complexes
