In this work, CdO thin film was prepared by DC sputtering technique and their optical properties were introduced to determine the effect of incident wavelength especially on the optical (carrier concentration skin depth and conductivity ) of the prepared sample depending on the transmission, absorption and extinction coefficient, also to determine the type of bandgap and the dominant absorption processes, absorption edge shift
