دراسة حالات الاكسدة في مرضى التهاب المفاصل العظمي لزيادة الوزن المفرطة و السمنة

The present study is to evaluate the lipidperoxidation marker MDA and some nonenzymatic antioxidant (i.e. Albumin and Uric acid) in sera of human male and female osteoarthritis (OA) patients to investigate the oxidative stress in such patients. This study include 30 patients from both sexes diagnosed by radio logic xray ,with symptoms(OA), in addition to 30 healthy control their aged ranged (28-65)years .Both groups OA patients and control were divided in to two subgroup a according to their body mass index (BMI). The results revealed a highly significant value of serum MDA level compared to control was found, a significant decrease in albumin levels in sera of OA patient compared to control was noticed, while a slight non significant decrease in serum uric acid concentration of OA patients compared to control in over weight group. A significant increase in serum MDA and uric acid concentration in OA patients compared to control was found ,on the other hand significant decrease in serum albumin levels in OA compared to control in obese group.
