The Levant occupied the attention of many Europeans intellectuals and politicians for the importance of this region and its effective and economic strategy to the world. Occurring on the Mediterranean gave the countries of the Levant great importance, particularly in the nineteenth century, which saw the emergence of a new western countries trying to access to this area and have a foothold. At the forefront of these countries was the United States, which began its activity to send missionaries to the Levant by consuls working on the establishment of an entity in order to push for the establishment of a political influence in the Levant regions. The United States watched the events of the Levant closely during the nineteenth century. This period has been chosen as it represents the historical period of wealth and riches, it was a stage of collision between the real renaissance and real colonialism, there is no doubt it was free and gloomy stage, where it was a real passion to break free from the clutches of decadence and bitter colonial domination. The United States began moving closer to the countries of the region, including Syria and Lebanon, trying to join the Levant to its sphere of influence because political and geographical importance of the Levant, especially its occurrence near the oil wells in the region as well as for being the neighboring state of Israel, which to maintain the existence and security of principles was the basic US foreign policy in the region
