    University teaching is one of the most important functions of universities and is the most effective and influential in preparing students for future life , provide them with specialized knowledge and positive attitudes and value and all scientific and practical skills to equip them to become active members in the com . The significance of quality teaching to ensure that mission and objectives , and the continuous improvement of student performance so as to be able to keep up with the technology of the times and open up to the outside world From this point of view, the current study aims at knowing the reality of teaching from the viewpoint of faculty members at Tikrit University . The population of the current study consists of all lectures at Tikrit University who are (1702) lecturers It was agreed to take (10) percent from the total number randomly , thus the representative sample of the study consists of (107) lecturers . In order to identify sample responses , the researcher uses a questionnaire consisted of (6) areas , each area includes (34) items for each of three alternatives and the researcher used the statistical program (SPSS) to extract the result . The study results showed that the mean score of the questionnaire which is designed to measure the quality of teaching is (56) or (82.35%) higher than the presumptive mean score (34) or (50%) which is very good The researcher concluded that the application of the quality of teaching at the University of Tikrit as current study results showed that there is no statistically significant differences for the sample response at the level of significance (0.05) according to a variable degree , while the results showed that there are statistically significant differences for the sample response at the level of the significance (0.05) according to a variable degree , while the results showed that there are statistically significant differences for the sample response at the level (0.05) depending on variable experience (number of year). The study ended with many suggestions as developmental visions to reality of teaching at the Tikrit University .
