The Difficulties Encountered by EFL Preparatory School Teachers in Teaching English for Iraq Series

Although the widespread adoption of communicative language teaching (CLT, for short) in English foreign language countries, it still has some difficulties. The teachers understanding of the communicative teaching is the essential way to its success. Therefore; this research is intended to investigate the difficulties that are encountered by English language teachers in teaching English for Iraq series. Thus, a sample of a hundred teacher who are teaching EFL at the preparatory schools in the city of Tikrit and its suburbs are considered to be the subjects of this research. A scaled questionnaire as an instrument of measurement is used to be an investigatory tool in this research. Results show that the present research proves that the hypothesis is verified and accepted which point out that Iraqi teachers of English encounter difficulties and problems in teaching English for Iraq series.
